Biden was a perfect pick.  Few people in the Senate have the dedication and experience of Joe Biden.  He is well connected on foreign relations.  Truth fully Barack could have grabbed Hilary and been more popular within the left to the democratic center.  But the real fight are the practical independents that have pealed away from the GOP and Democratic frustrations.  The battle ground states is where the 2008 election will be won if at all.

With the very unpopular unilateral movements of George W. Bush and his hawkish administration, the election is the Democrats to lose.  The most powerful point that the GOP has had against Obama is his lack of experience.  Obama supporters continuously repeat and highlight his “judgment” and “leadership”  on important issues.  And they have a point: Obama not only voted against the Iraq invasion, he also predicted what would happen.  To fix the problem, he suggested getting the troops out of Iraq on a timetable, which the Bush administration violently opposed.  Now the Bush administration is about to set a time table at Iraq’s request.   Regardless of his judgment, his lack of experience is still a factor against him.. that is it used to be.. now he has one of the most experienced Senators on his team, Joe Biden.
